During the rain season the tea leaves can be picked every 3 days. The ladies are taking the fine light green leaves that grew the last three days only. Large old leaves are left at the bush to make photosynthesis possible.

the pepper panicles are plucked from the pepper plant and the pepper corns have to be removed from the panicles. Then they are exposed to the sun until they are dry and black. They can be peeled now (white pepper) or ground or left as they are (black pepper corns)
